# For Developers

Thales Protocol smart contracts are accessible to anyone permissionlessly. This means that Thales also represents an **Integratable Infrastructure!**  Anyone can build their own application that connects to Thales smart contracts that act as a liquidity, settlement and market making layer for Digital Options or/and Sports Markets, depending on what a third party wants to integrate.

To further enhance and streamline developer experience when integrating, Thales has developed an API for each of the subproducts that reduces the friction even further.
